Kent School District Teacher Named Regional Teacher of the Year

Northwood Middle School teacher Amy Abrams has been selected as the Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) Regional Teacher of the Year!

School Board Supports Teacher and Principal Collaboration Time. Decides No Additional Late Start Days in 2013-14

The Board concluded that collaboration was of great value in increasing student achievement, but should continue to explore options without adding any additional late start or partial school days to the calendar.

Students Selected for Aerospace Summer Residency Program

Two Kentwood students were among 160 juniors in the state selected for a six-day summer residency experience at The Museum of Flight.

Superintendent’s Business Leaders Advisory Council Meets

The Council met with district administrators to learn about district updates and provide input about career pathways. This was also an opportunity for the District to thank businesses for their involvement and support.

Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Kent School District. All district volunteers are required to complete a KSD Disclosure Form, consent to a background check, and be fingerprinted prior to volunteering.

You may download the KSD Disclosure Form here, read and complete the top portion of the form, bring it to the school or department where you will be volunteering, and complete the signature portion in front of a designated KSD staff member who will sign as a witness. Also, bring your ID for confirmation. If you have questions, contact Faith Sisley by email or at 253-373-7467.
